Updates September 2017

We have exciting plans in place running up to 2020 that include joint home concerts with Choirs from Australia and Italy, tours to France and Italy and a second appearance at London’s Royal Albert Hall for a Gala Festival of Brass & Voices, raising funds for Cancer Research UK.

Choir Chairman Chris Thomas comments “If you enjoy singing, supporting good causes and having a lot of fun whilst doing both, now is a great time to join us. Local and regional engagements will always be the cornerstone of our activities, but we also relish events that take us to new locations at home and abroad, thus further extending our relationships with other choirs.

I’m particularly delighted therefore that our 2017/18 season starts with what I’m certain will be a wonderful evening of music, when we join the Hart Male Voice Choir (visiting from Hampshire) and the Toccata Ladies Choir (based in Livingston) for what I’m sure will be a wonderful Concert at St. Michael’s Parish Church, Linlithgow on Friday 29 September”

Club Burn’s Supper

The Choir performed at the Rugby Club’s 26th Burns Supper and supplemented a great evening’s programme chaired by David Bennie and including an outstanding Immortal Memory by Fiona Hyslop MSP

Christmas Concert 2015

The Choir performed in the Annual Christmas Concert raising funds for Linlithgow Day Care Centre. Also performing were the Linlithgow Ladies Choir, The Linties Children’s Choir and soloist Sarah Gillan. A very enjoyable and successful evening!

Charlestown Concert

The Choir entertained a full house for a Concert in Charlestown, raising funds for the maintenance of The Queens’ Hall. A successful evening very much enjoyed by all.

26 April

A great evening at the Thistle Suite, Murrayfield, very much enjoyed by Choir members plus many of our wives and partners. This was a Club Fund Raiser organised jointly by the Club and the Bill McLaren Foundation. The Choir sang three songs as part of the evening’s entertainment – not the easiest venue to sing at but was great to perform at the home of Scottish Rugby!

16th April

The Choir travelled across to the Kingdom of Fife and performed a full concert for the Crossford Ladies Group. A thoroughly enjoyable evening with the Ladies kindly making a donation to CHAS by way of a “thank you”.
